« HACK AN EXOPLANET » DIPLOMAS HAVE ARRIVED.

Two weeks ago, on the 26th of September, the diplomas for the “Hack an Exoplanet” challenge arrived.

At the end of last year 4 students in Bertran de Born took part in the “Hack an Exoplanet” challenge organized by the European Space Agency.

From the end of May to mid-June 2023, a few students were selected by Mrs. Rebiere to participate in this challenge. A physics high school teacher : Mr. Burgunder was the one who helped us write the article and helped us with all the calculation. We met four times in total, during those 1 hour-sessions, we did calculations like the distance between the star and the planet etc… We would also write the article, this part was a little difficult but not as hard as the calculation. As the sessions went by we were closer and closer to the dead-line. When we met for the last time, the article was almost finished so Mr. Burgunder made us all stand in front of the white board so that we could all write our version of the article. Then the article was finished and that challenge came to an end. The challenge was really interesting and fun. Besides it made all of us learn more about planets and physics !

In the end it was a really amusing challenge to do and we all had a great time ! (Find enclosed the article we wrote)
