Cette année, certaines classes au collège et au lycée auront la chance d’accueillir notre assistante Kenyane Sharleen et de travailler avec elle afin de développer et d’améliorer leurs compétences en anglais durant toute l’année scolaire. Bienvenue à elle !
"Sharleen arrived on the 27th of September. She came here because she wanted to learn more about French culture and education system, to improve her french skills and to have an experience abroad.
A LITTLE PRESENTATION
Sharleen was born on the 15th September 2003, in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. She has one brother and two sisters. She plays and watches rugby and likes mathematics and drama. She is trilingual, she fluently speaks English, French and Swahili, a kenyan traditional language.
KENYA Geography
The five neighbouring countries around Kenya are South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda. There are 47 counties and Nairobi, the capital, is located in the south west of Kenya.
Animals
The big five animals of Kenya are the lion, the leopard, the african buffalo, the elephant and the rhino.
Traditional dishes
There are many different dishes in Kenya that French people don’t know. Like the Ugali (a staple food made of maize), nyama choma (char grilled beef or goat meat marinated in spices) and the chaï (spiced tea)
School
People have 8 years of primary school, 4 years of high school and 4 years of university. Mixed schools are rare, most of them are single-gendered. The students must wear uniforms, blue for boys ans red for girls.
